Jalits Blaufränkisch Rose'  2015
Reg. - $15.99; Saturday - $13.60
Aromas of wild strawberries and cherries. On the palate a perfect balnce of the fruit and the acidity.
A great aperitiv wine and perfect with spicy food.
Authentic wines from an authentic region. The winery Jalits led by the winegrower Mathias stays true to this principle. "On the Eisenberg, we greatly benefit from the ideal circumstances for pressing incomparable wines which are typical for the region", says the winegrower. Mathias Jalits has found his own style: his wines are powerful, marked by the Eisenberg's minerality. "We focus on enhancing the traditional and we avoid making daring experiments.

Falstaff Austria 92pts
The Washington Post - By Dave McIntyre Columnist, Food September 24,
Zweigelt is Austria’s best-known red, but many winemakers view Blaufränkisch as the more serious wine. With this reserve, Anton Bauer has crafted an elegant and lovely wine, with silky texture and an energy that carries its flavors of cherry and white pepper soaring. This is an unfamiliar wine made from an unfamiliar grape, and it isn’t inexpensive. It is worth trying. Also worth noting: This is from the area northwest of Vienna known for its outstanding white wines (Gruner Veltliner and Riesling, especially), while Blaufränkisch typically excels further south in Burgenland.

50% Welschriesling and 50% Scheurebe  - Liquid gold, this BA has an elegant nose with some honey and peach. It is complex and intense on the palate with juicy apricot and harmonious acidity on the finish, which lingers on and on.
