History

Over 100 years.
The Castellani’s business was established in Montecalvoli at the end of the 19th century as Alfred, long-standing wine grower, decides to start bottling and selling his wine. In 1903 the business is officially registered at the Chamber of Commerce in Pisa.

Philosophy
Concepts for wines expression.
Since 1903 my family has been exporting its own finest Estate wines from Tuscany. We have changed and evolved over the decades, but throughout the years the philosophy of our work has remained consistent: "The quality of the wine begins in the vineyard", as my ancestors used to say...

Amarone di Valpolicella, Brunelli $59.99

This unique, prize-winning wine has no peers anywhere in the world. It is during the phase of maturation and aging that Amarone acquires its celebrated bouquet and taste, as distinctive as its native soil.

GOLD MEDAL - Mundus Vini 2017
GOLD MEDAL - Mundus Vini 2015
GRAND GOLD MEDAL - Concours International des Vins à Lyon
91 Points - WINE ADVOCATE - ROBERT PARKER

It displays an intense ruby red color and, on the nose, sweet fruity notes – red currants, blueberries and cherries – as well as a characteristic hint of vanilla from the oak. It is particularly majestic on the palate: its soft, warming sensations are counterpointed by good acidity and excellent tannins that give gratifying balance. This is an elegant wine, but one of enviable and noteworthy structure.
