The Wines!!

Gimonet-Gonet Champagne, Brut NV $49.99
Cuvée Brut Tradition is the most fruity of all our champagnes because it is the only one made with a significant proportion of black grapes: in fact 50% of the blend is Pinot Noir, the remaining 50% being Chardonnay. Chardonnay is the least-planted grape variety in Champagne so the 50% in Cuvée Brut Tradition is above average and brings this champagne a distinctive finesse.

Albastrele Blanc de Cabernet $12.99
The first nose is intense and delightful, with notes of sweet fruits and honey – white nectarine, white pear, white apple, mango, pineapple, white cherry, white mulberry and early may honey – all of this mixed together and served as a fresh summer scent.
The wine is medium-dry, with some hints of residual sugar, moderate alcohol and moderate acidity. It makes the wine taste smooth, noble and round. Medium tannin makes it taste a little green, like a green olive – savory and refreshing. The overall balance is good – friendly, bright and refined – like a summer rain on a bright sunny day.

David Noyes Pinot Noir, Sonoma Coast $20.99
The David Noyes Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir combines fruit from three family-owned vineyards: Crane, Dutton and Gunsalus. Individually these grapes tell a story, together they sing a song that is pure Sonoma Coast. Dark cherry, apple mint and freshly-tilled soil aromas hit all the right notes, while the palate fleshes those flavors out, with hints of pie spice and fine tannins on the finish. Food-friendly, this would complement umami flavors quite nicely - like smoked or roasted meats with soy, grilled Portabellos or sauteed Chanterelles.

Barrel 27 Right Hand Man Syrah $22.99
This robust Syrah contains 7% Viognier, adding aromatic lift and viscosity on the palate, a nod to Cote Rotie. Syrah does particularly well in California's Central Coast, where the warmth of the summer sun is moderated by cooling oceanic breezes, allowing grapes to ripen to full maturity while preserving acidity over a long growing season. The 2011 production includes fruit from the Les Galets, Hinnrichs, Hampton, McGinley, and Kimsey Vineyard. Aged for 22 months in a combination of French, Hungarian, and American oak barrels (10% new) this is bold, ripe and spicy, with rich dark fruit aromas and flavors layered with dark chocolate, candied orange peel, and scents of exotic spice. It is full-bodied and concentrated - the perfect kind of 'right hand man' for hearty stews and braises!

Shea Wine Cellars Estate Pinot Noir, Shea Vineyard $47.99
The fruit for the Estate is sourced from throughout Shea Vineyard. Aromatics of blue and black fruit, black cherry, hints of rose petal, and subtle spice notes. The palate has lush blue and black fruit with a long finish and fine grained tannins.
