The Wines!!

2017 Cloudy Bay Sauvignon Blanc $36.99

Cloudy Bay 2017 Sauvignon Blanc is an excellent vintage that reveals an elegant and concentrated palate with ripe, juicy stone fruit and lemongrass, supported by a lovely minerality. Its crisp acidity leads to a mouth-watering and persistent finish suggesting a Sauvignon Blanc that will age well.”

2016 Stags Leap Chardonnay $24.99

inviting bouquet expresses aromas of creamy lemon meringue, tropical pineapple, delicate elderflower and hints of raw almond nuttiness which fill the glass and pique your interest in this crisp Chardonnay.  On the palate, you’ll find a classic refreshing Chardonnay with a vibrancy of tropical fruit notes that transition into lemon curd and meringue while also maintaining a roundness in texture that is balanced (hinting at the delicate battonage lees stirring during the winemaking process).  With well integrated vanilla oak notes, a subtle almond undertones, and a flinty minerality on the finish, this wine is full, rich and bright, yet generous in style and maintains freshness due to its acidity, which creates a Chardonnay of lovely complexity and depth.

2014 Stags Leap The Investor $49.99

The Investor is a red wine that beautifully blends together the unique flavors and expressions of Merlot, Petite Sirah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec, resulting in a powerful yet approachable assemblage with significant fruit presence. The Merlot contributes fresh red berry aromatics and a soft, velvety texture to balance the power of Petite Sirah, which adds concentration, tannins, spice and blueberry flavors. The Cabernet Sauvignon further increases the final blend’s complexity and depth and the Malbec’s incredibly vibrant floral aromatics heighten the blend’s freshness. The majority of the Petite Sirah fruit comes from estate vineyards in Oakville, and additional fruit is sourced from a diverse selection of northern and southern Napa Valley vineyards to broaden the wine’s floral and spicy characteristics. The Merlot is grown on the Stags’ Leap estate in the heart of the Stags Leap District, and a selection of southern valley floor Cabernet Sauvignon fruit makes up the balance of the blend.

2014 Atlas Peak Cabernet Sauvignon $28.99

Winemaker Notes: Deep red in color our Atlas Peak Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon expresses notes of red cherry, currants and licorice on the nose. Robust and full-bodied with supple tannins and dense blackberry fruit. Flavors of mocha, molasses, blueberry, and pepper dominate with back notes of plum and graphite on the finish. Pair with salt-crusted beef tenderloin, classic rib-eye roast, herbed potatoes, simple sautéed mushrooms with chives, hard cheeses.

Critical Acclaim WW 90     "The 2014 Atlas Peak Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is bright and fresh. The wine's lively red currant flavors make it an excellent choice with grilled lamb chops."
Drinks well now. (Tasted: November 8, 2016, San Francisco, CA)
