The Wines!!

Justin Girardin Bourgogne Blanc $21.99
A 1.2 hectare plot on the east side of the RN is the source for this excellent value Chardonnay. After a manual harvest the grapes are pressed in the pneumatic press and the juice naturally ferments at a very low temperature in order to retain the subtle flavors and freshness. ML occurs naturally in both vat and barrel with daily battonage for one month to add texture and a bit of creaminess. The wine is fined and lightly filtered prior to bottling.

An expansive, complex bouquet evokes fresh pear, white peach and honey, with a hint of iodine in the background. Dry and stony on the palate, offering intense citrus and orchard fruit flavors and a touch of anise. Closes with building smokiness, a touch of bitter pear skin and very good persistence.

The Magician, Reisling, Evergreen Vineyard, Columbia Valley $24.99

The 2015 Magician is 100% Riesling from Evergreen Vineyard, located high on the cliffs high above the Columbia River in the middle of Washington State. 2015 was a warm vintage, but Evergreen's cool site allows for extra hang time for the grapes, the result of which was more flavor, while maintaining the beautiful acidity that is the framework of this wine.Bright, crisp and juicy are the hallmarks of this Riesling, full of green apple and pear notes, juicy minerality and refreshing citrus notes. The subtle sweetness is perfectly balanced by the acids, and if ever there were a perfect wine for spicy foods, this is the one!

Critical Acclaim WE89 The Wine Enthusiast
Very primary aromas of lime zest and mineral are followed by lightly spritzy, just a hair off-dry citrus flavors backed by bright, tart acidity.

Renegade Rose' $12.99
This wine is mostly Syrah (80%) with the rest made up of Cinsault, Counoise and Grenache. A pretty pale pink color, it's aromatically expressive with fruit-filled notes of strawberry and cherry. The palate contains the slightest suggestion of sweetness, with light-bodied orange-peel and tart fruit flavors that draw out on the finish.

Barrell 27 Right Hand Man Syrah $22.99
This robust Syrah contains 7% Viognier, adding aromatic lift and viscosity on the palate, a nod to Cote Rotie. Syrah does particularly well in California's Central Coast, where the warmth of the summer sun is moderated by cooling oceanic breezes, allowing grapes to ripen to full maturity while preserving acidity over a long growing season. Aged for 22 months in a combination of French, Hungarian, and American oak barrels (10% new) this is bold, ripe and spicy, with rich dark fruit aromas and flavors layered with dark chocolate, candied orange peel, and scents of exotic spice. It is full-bodied and concentrated - the perfect kind of 'right hand man' for hearty stews and braises!

Chateau Vartely Cabernet Sauvignon $14.99
This expressive wine of crystalline color, which is characterized by a rich and intense ruby with fine bronze shades. Its full, harmonious, balanced and pleasantly tart, yet moderate taste is characterized by rich and complex aromas of black currant, and pronounced tannins endow the wine with fine-textured personality.

The grapes were grown and harvested with care in the vineyards in the south of Moldova, in Bugeac area.

The Beers!!

Commonwealth Aureole Pilsner 4 pack $14.99
As adaptable as it is uncommon, this pale malt is anything but conventional. Pale malt from the finest Maltster in Belgium unites with classic hops from Czech and Styria to transcend tradition in the most delicious way possible. Sip a flute or chug a liter; this beer is built for either.

Maine Beer, Woods and Water Ale 12 oz. $8.99
We brewed this special IPA to commemorate the establishment of the Katahdin Woods and Waters National Monument. We incorporated Maine-grown barley and wheat, along with generous amounts of hops with flavors and aromas of pine and citrus, reminiscent of the outdoors. Cheers to Mother Nature and all she provides us!
CITRUS, BERRIES, PINE, SMOOTH
HOPS: MAGNUM, SIMCOE, MOSAIC, COLUMBUS, IDAHO 7
MALT: AMERICAN 2-ROW, BLUE OX PALE, BLUE OX WHEAT, BLUE OX VIENNA

Commonwealth Big Papi Double IPA 4 pack $18.99

4.2 BeerAdvocate "Outstanding" 8.0% ABV
Poured an orange body with two-finger frothy head and lace patches around glass. The aroma is hopped up with a dry, resiny, bitter, slightly soapy and acidic feel. Citrusy and light bodied, almost juicy, this IPA is easy to drink while maintaining a fuller mouthfeel and then finishes with a dryness and bitterness that is tempered, albeit minimally, by a grapefruit/tropical fruit sweetness.
