The Wines!!

Torbreck Woodcutter's Semillon $18.99
Semillon has always found a natural home in the Barossa.
It was one of the early white wine grape varieties planted by the first settlers around 160 years ago and the Mediterranean climate and careful farming has created a heritage of old, lowyielding Semillon vineyards. With the use of an age-old, robust, pink-skinned Madeira clone, found mainly in the Barossa, and maturation in both stainless steel and seasoned French barriques, the Woodcutter’s Semillon is reminiscent of the savoury, food friendly white wines found in the central and southern regions of France.

It is not a typically lemony Semillon, showing more complex aromas of smoked almonds and honeysuckle as well as buttery textures from the natural malolactic fermentation.

Domaine Les Bruyères Viognier $23.99
Like Chardonnay, Viognier has the potential to produce full-bodied wines with a lush, soft character. In contrast to Chardonnay, the Viognier varietal has more natural aromatics that include notes of peach, pears, violets and minerality. However, these aromatic notes can be easily destroyed by too much exposure to oxygen which makes barrel fermentation a winemaking technique that requires a high level of skill on the part of any winemaker working with this variety.

Dido, La Universal Monsant $27.99

Grenache, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah
Sight: Intense cherry colour with garnet hues. Clean and very bright.
Nose: Herbal touches and an abundance of fruit. Spicy and smoked base.
Taste: Fresh and intense. Large expressivity, mineral and fruity reminiscences. Long finish.

Torbreck Woodcutter's Shiraz $26.99
You’d imagine a high country Scottish woodcutter might like a fortifying red at the end of the day – something rich, warming, full bodied…and affordable.

This wine reflects the up and coming Shiraz vineyards of the Barossa, rather than the battle hardened old vines that make up the core of our other cuvées.

Cune Rioja Riserva $29.99
Bright cherry colour with some violet nuances. In the nose, red berries aromas remain over the oaky and balsamic notes from its ageing in wood. It shows an elegance in the mouth, yet very lively, with some spice back notes and a very balanced acidity.

The Beers!!

Cigar City, White Oak Jai Alai, 4 pack $11.99

BeerAdvocate 4.21 "Outstanding" ABV 7.5%
This is an American White Oak-aged version of Jai Alai India Pale Ale. The white oak adds smoothing notes of vanilla and slight hints of dill to the aroma and flavor profile. The finish is elegantly dry due to the light tannin notes from oak aging and though still loaded with hop flavor, hop bitterness is more restrained.

Smutty Nose, East Coast Common Lager, 6 pack $11.99

RateBeer and BeerAdvocate 4.1!! ABV 7.0%

East Coast Common is a nod to those uniquely American lager beers – fermented warm, in the San Franciscan-style. One sniff of the heady aroma tells you this isn’t a utilitarian, washing machine-variety beer. Our brewers infuse significant quantities of late-in-the-boil and post-fermentation dry hops to make sure you know East Coast Common is a New England original.

We originally brewed East Coast Common at Smuttlabs with our friends and neighbors Stoneface Brewing Company and Great Rhythm Brewing Company, to commemorate 2015’s Portsmouth Beer Week. We’re pleased to bring it back as our new Spring seasonal for a wider, hop-hungry audience.

Cheers! Seasonally Available

Two Roads, Road 2 Ruin Double IPA, 4 pack $12.99

BeerAdvocate 3.9 "Excellent" ABV 8.0% IBU 77 available year round
A big, hoppy IPA with plenty of bite! Our assertive, hop-centric Double IPA has a lean malt backdrop and is brewed with four American hop varieties – Summit, Palisade, Cascade and Magnum. Piney, citrus, floral, not-for-the-timid!
