The Wines!!
Icardi. Cortese L’Aurora, 2017 Piemonte.
Certified Organic.100% Cortese Grape.
The Cortese L’Aurora is consistently a very rich, fruity and refreshing white from this Certified Organic/ farmed estate. From vines over 25 years at 280 meters. Ripe peaches and flowers come together nicely in this round, juicy white.
Mormoraia Vernaccia di San Gimignano DOCG. 2015 Tuscany.
Organic Estate. 100% Vernaccia.
From vines, at 300 meters with high density planting and low yield production, the Passoni family has been producing world class wines over the years. The bench mark Vernaccia sees fermentation in stainless steel followed by aging on the lees, also in steel, for four months. Intense fresh aromas of white fruit with a harmonious balanced and persistent finish.
Bright pale yellow, fresh citrus on the bright nose, with white fruits and fresh herbs on the long mouthwatering finish.
Brigaldara Valpolicella Classico DOC 2016. San Floriano, Veneto.
Corvina, 40%, Corvinone, 20%, Rondinella, Molinara and Sangiovese 40%.
From vines over 30 years old at an elevation of 150-200 meters. Delastage or rack & return is performed half way through the fermentation process. Medium-bodied, wild cherries, vanilla & spices with scents of bittersweet chocolate. Stefano Cesari continues to provide world class wines on a consistent basis
Cascina Chicco Nebbiolo Langhe DOC 2016. Canale, Piedmont.
100% Nebbiolo.
The single vineyard Costa provides low yield and high density planting and results in a wine of elegance on the nose and the palate. First hints of violet and ripe cherry and then a full but delicate and persistant finish. Aged for 8-9 months in oak and then returned to stainless steel casks. This silky red shows marasca cherry, violets and spice. It is full, aristocratic and delicate.
Mormoraia Chianti Colli Senesi DOCG 2015. Tuscany
Organically Farmed Estate. 100% Sangiovese.
The Mormoraia estate continues to pay attention to detail in all its wines and the Chianti Colli Senesi is a fine example. From high density, low yield vinyard at 300 meters, barrique aged Sangiovese (4 months). Ripe cherry, raspberry and spice flavors grace this open, fruity red, which is balanced and lingers on the finish echoing red fruit and spice notes.
Icardi Brachetto Suri Vigin, Piedmont DOC 2015 Piedmont.
100% Brachetto.
Light ruby-red color with purple reflections. This lush, fragrant semi-sparkling wine offers an abundance of aromas of red ripe fruit. Sweet, soft and velvety with a nicely rounded and lingering finish.
Great with Chocolate!!
The Beers!!
The Bruery Mischief Belgian Style Ale 4 pack $17.99
ABV 8.50%
Mischief is a hoppy Belgian-style golden ale. This wickedly good golden ale is fiendishly dry-hopped with American hops to add a layer of complexity and mystery to its fruity, dry Belgian-style character.
Cigar City Maduro Brown Ale 6 pack $12.99
ABV 5.50%
Maduro is a Northern English-style Brown Ale with some American affectations. Higher in alcohol than the common English Brown Ale, the beer features flaked oats in the malt bill which imparts a silky body and works to mesh its roasted, toasted and chocolate components together.
Hardywood Cuvee Gold, Aged in white wine barrels, 25 oz $14.99
ABV 9.6% IBU 30
Hardywood Cuvée Gold artfully blends the elegance of wine country with the gentle and balanced characteristics of a traditional Belgian-style Golden Ale. Combining both young and mature vintages aged in freshly emptied Sauvignon Blanc barrels, Cuvée Gold offers light earthy aromatics, a subtle sweetness and a hint of toasted oak that are delightfully dry and delicate on the palate, with lasting white grape and stone fruit undertones.
