65% Grenache, 25% Mourvèdre, 10% Cinsault

Summer is Over?!? Who said it’s Over!
Many of you have told us you’re not ready to stop drinking Rose and we fully agree!

With the slightly cooler weather coming we wanted to find a medium-full bodied Rose for you to enjoy as the leaves start to turn. Well it turns out that our first Rose of the season we featured back in early June was still available and on a great deal of course!

 Delicious!!

"Deeply concentrated red cherry and strawberry flavorsare balanced by crisp acidity and invigorating mineral undertones here.
It's a dry yet bold fruit-forward sipper, with a plump, juicy palate.
Structured by fine tannins and savory, herbal flair, it's elegant and versatile enough to enjoy year round.
Drink now–2021.”

"Sporting a Tavel like raspberry color, the 2017 Le Fervent Rosé is made by Michel Gassier from the Costières de Nîmes region of the Rhône Valley. It’s a richer, full-bodied rose that offers terrific notes of ripe raspberry and strawberry fruits, hints of garrigue and spice, plenty of fruit and depth, and a clean finish. It’s a beautiful dry rosé geared for the dinner table and will keep for upward of a year."

Our Thoughts on this wine.....

Intense nose of crushed strawberries, pomegranate and floral notes.
Very dynamic wine with a rich mouthfeel of fresh red berries, mineral flavors, and a long lively finish.
Pair with anything on the grill or medium to big cheeses!

The Winemaking ....
The terroirs selected for this wine are located at the extreme south of the Appellation where gentle slopes of Rhône pebbles face the marshes of Camargue and nearby Mediterranean sea.
The microclimate is much cooler than the rest of the Rhône valley thanks to fresh sea breezes that prevail most of the summer.

Michel’s philosophy about rosé is that it is a “Blanc de Noir”. In other words a white winemaking approach to red grapes.
We are looking for the same kind of balance, purity of fruit, and minerality as we do for our whites.
Harvest decisions are based on freshness of aromatics and acidity levels.
Juice extraction is mostly free flow (presses are separated) with settling on coarse lees for a week before fermentation.
The result is a light colored rosé extra body and beautiful aromatics.
