The Wines!!

Robert Foley Cabernet Sauvignon 2010

Cabernet Sauvignon at its finest, this 100% varietal combines the firm character of mountain-grown fruit with the more lush and supple fruit grown in warmer conditions at lower elevations. Flavors of ripe cherry, Logan berry and vanilla flood the palate. Our second vintage of Napa Valley Cabernet produced a more serious wine this year. The 2010 vintage offers a note of sophistication with a more rich, dark, tamed nose that’s seductive and captivating. The tannins integrate beautifully into the wine as it opens to show its nice earth and terroir components. It’s big, rich, and chewy on the palate with a long and graceful finish.

$95.99

Robert Foley Merlot 2010

Make no mistake; our Merlots are for Cabernet lovers. Dark ruby color introduces a ripe medley of blueberry/blackberry pie aromas. The mid-palate floods with ripe berry flavors that then introduce mocha, vanilla and espresso nuances that linger through the finish. All Merlot, our homegrown Howell Mountain fruit again combines with Merlot from the warmer Valley floor vineyards to provide a delightful balance of structure and a big round middle. Even if you think you don’t like Merlot, reserve judgement until you’ve tried ours. An exciting evolution is happening… watch this wine!

$59.99

Robert Foley Petite Sirah 2008

Effusively ripe aromas of blackberry pie and briar introduce this inky dark Petite Sirah. A flood of rich sweet fruit and expansive flavors coat the palate. The balance of natural acidity, alcohol, and extract resolve with the fine tannins in the finish. The magic of the wine is the combination of its fundamental power and liveliness.

$72.99

Robert Foley Pinot Blanc 2010

White peaches you don’t have to chew! Once again, we vinified our Pinot Blanc without any oak – it’s all about the fruit. Preventing malo lactic fermentation kept the acidity higher and the fruit cleaner, a real bill of health for white wine intended to be enjoyed in its youth. That said, we are also discovering how well they age compared to barrel-aged whites. Our preference for whites is oak-free, so our Pinot Blanc and Semillon are aged in stainless steel tanks rather than barrel. (600 cases produced)

$29.99

Robert Foley Semillon 2011

Floral aromas, honeyed juicy fruit, rounder and richer on the mid-palate than previous vintages. Great acid balance for brightness of flavors and aromas and length in the finish. We pick 'em early... to keep the Semillon crisp and clean and to keep the alcohol down. The result is a light and lively version of Semillon without oak or the broad waxy character of over ripe fruit. For shellfish lovers like Bob, it’s the ticket. (200 cases produced)

$29.99

Robert Foley The Griffin Red Wine 2011

This youthful 2011 Griffin drinks like a Pomerol! Aromas and flavors of red cherry and red currant carried by an elegantly weighted mid-palate and perfect balance. The finish is graced with a touch of mocha and espresso and finishes long with very fine gentle tannins. The 2011 Griffin is a blend of 65% elegant and lush Calistoga Merlot, 16% fruity and approachable Syrah, 14% dark and rich Petite Sirah, and 5% soft and expressive Charbono. Delicioso!
