Ten Sisters

SAUVIGNON BLANC 2013

Marlborough, New Zealand

This is our Number One Selling Sauvignon Blanc

Five years running!

That's a right a single vineyard !) Sauvignon Blanc is much better than any Sauvignon Blanc I've tasted in its price point ... I wouldn't be surprised if you started hearing about Ten Sisters in the same breath as well-known, established labels such as Kim Crawford and Cloudy Bay ...

This is a very polished and refined wine with a long finish – everything is in balance.

Our Thoughts on this wine.....

This 2013 Sauvignon Blanc has a delightfully fragrant and complex bouquet with underlying citrus aromas. The palate is crisp and lively, and has elegant layers hinting of tropical fruit. The finish is long and well-balanced. This Sauvignon Blanc remains on the lees longer than typical to create complexity, weight on the palate and additional fruit flavors.

and for you red wine lovers we will also have a Bonus Bottle open this week.

The Story……

Robert and Mary King are third-generation New Zealanders with the pioneering spirit of their ancestors. Their forebears sailed from Britain to the southern tip of the South Island of New Zealand, and were among the first settlers there.

Both Robert and Mary were born in Invercargill, the southernmost city in the country. After Robert returned from World War II, he bought 750 acres of wild, uncultivated land and, over many years, created a beautiful farm. He and Mary would eventually have 11 children, only one a son.

As a family, they traveled around the world, sharing and developing their great love of food and wine. They planted a vineyard on their land, fulfilling a longtime dream of Mary"s.

Robert, Mary, the ten sisters-Elizabeth, Janet, Margaret, Robyn, Judy, Ruth, Sandy, Joanna, Jackie, and Helen-and brother Bob look forward to your enjoying Ten Sisters wine.
