The Wines!

McManis Pinot Gris

Light straw in color the 2013 Pinot Grigio from McManis Family Vineyards is a nose full of citrus scents. Lemon, Lime and Grapefruit are all present. While the wine is crisp, there is a noticeable weight to it. The flavors anticipated by the olfactory senses are abundantly delivered. The finish has a hint of mineral character.

Blindfold

Wine Advocate 93points!!
Created to provide the perfect white wine companion to The Prisoner, Blindfold is bold and intriguing. In establishing our own spin on a white blend, winemaker Jen Beloz and her team sought out interesting Rhône and aromatic varietals that would nicely compliment a classic Chardonnay base. Through partnering with growers who are dedicated to cultivating alternative varietals in their outstanding vineyards throughout California, the result is a wine that is complex and delicious.
Winemaker notes:
Aromatic and inviting, the wine opens up with subtle notes of mandarin and meyer lemon zest, complimented on the palette
with delightful flavors of Anjou pear, roasted marshmallow, spiced apple tart and a hint of minerality . The finish is rich and creamy with bright, balanced acidity.
The blend:
35% Chardonnay
60% Rhone Whites (Viognier, Roussanne, Marsanne, Grenache
Blanc)
5% Aromatics (Semillon and Riesling)

Chateau Bianca Pinot Noir
This light, fruit forward style of Pinot Noir is a perfect “daily drinker!”

A light body and bright cherry flavors are complimented by light structure from neutral oak and a clean, acidic finish.

Perfect with salads, pork, lamb and amazing with salmon.

The Prisoner

90 points Wine Spectator
The Prisoner truly is... “one of a kind”. When Dave Phinney (founder) launched the wine in 2003, there really was no other wine like it. Inspired and created by the drinkable “mixed blacks” first made by the Italian immigrants who originally settled in the Napa Valley, it was innovative and unique. In the late '90s a handful of Napa producers took an interest in making this style of wine. The blend soon began to incorporate not only Zinfandel, but also Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Petite Sirah, Charbono, and Grenache.

Orin Swift Abstract 2012

Abstract is a blend of Napa, Sonoma, and Mendocino Grenache, Petite Sirah, and Syrah primarily from hillside vineyards.

Inky blue-purple in complexion, the wine bursts with a perfume of dark fruit, sage, acacia flowers, kirsch, and a hint of California chaparral. Voluptuous in texture, the wine is remarkably fresh on the palate with ripe blackberry, mulberry, roasted plum, black tea, and bitter chocolate. A sweet and soft tannin profile rounds out the finish, which lingers elegantly.

Aged 10 months in new and seasoned French oak.

15.7% Alc. by volume
