The Wines!

Gimonet-Gonet Champagne Brut NV $44.99

A 50/50 blend of Grand Cru Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, manually harvested, vinified by parcel, and blended later. The bottles rest for 3 years, and are disgorged 3 months before sale. The final wine has low yeastiness, and no biscuity aromas or ?avors; Rather, this Champagne is very re?ned and elegant, with classy fruit, subtle mousse, and a satisfying rush of tiny bubbles rendering a wonderful creaminess. A knockout for sure.

Domaine Mandard Touraine $14.99

Superior to most Sancerres that we’ve recently tasted.
Beautiful pale yellow robe, powerful nose offering citrus & exotic fruit flavors, boxwood & cassis flower. Vivacious on palate, balanced, unctuous and ample, great noble Touraine typicity.

Albastrele Blanc de Cabernet $12.99

Yes, you read correctly – it’s a white wine made out of red grapes. Unique terroir influenced by the breezes from the Black Sea. Made entirely of Cabernet Sauvignon this wine will remind you of an Albarino, Sauvignon Blanc and Viognier all at the same time! Passion fruit, grass and grapefruit flavors are abundant with a fresh and firm structure. It will go great with sushi, asparagus risotto, smoked salmon and crunchy
salads.

McKinley Pinot Noir $21.99

It is easy to become a fan of the artisanal pinot noirs of Matt Kinne at McKinlay. His focus on healthy vines, ripe fruit, and traditional balance that includes some tannins make his wine more Burgundian than anything else in Oregon.

Though they have been established for over fourteen years, McKinlay remains one of Oregon's smallest and most obscure wineries. Rather than spend their time on marketing and public relations, Matt and Holly Kinne instead dedicate all of their energy and resources to producing the finest quality Pinot Noir possible.

David Noyes Zinfandel, Puccini Vineyard $34.99

Jammy red fruit and a hint of anise define the nose and mouth of this full-bodied zin. Still youthful after years of bottle aging, the fruit and structure of this wine promise a long life and good development over the next five years–and possibly more.

Dan Carmagni, an Italian stonecutter planted this vineyard in 1906 the year his son, Dan Jr. was born. Numerous stone walls around the property attest to both men’s hard work and skill. The site speaks eloquently to the history of winemaking in California and to the sense of balance, proportion and harmony common to the Italian immigrants of that era. I always enjoy visiting. Dan Jr. sold the property to the current owner’s father during the 1950’s but continued to live nearby. He died in 2006 at 99 years of age.
