The Wines!!

Rued Chardonnay 2013, Russian River Valley $22.99

Aromas of Gravenstein apple, pear, butterscotch and creme brule. Flavors of pear, Gravenstein apple, apricot and butterscotch. 100% fermented in new French oak barrels, partial malolactic fermentation.

Mas De Bressades Rousanne $22.99

Fermentation in new oak barrels. No malolactic fermentation. 5 months in barrels on lees with regular "batonnage". Golden limpid colour. Intense  nose  of lemon, flowers and almonds. Great complexity  in  the mouth with a lot of freshness, incredible length.

Becker Estate Pinot Noir, Pfalz Valley $22.99

Coming from one of the top producers of Pinot Noir this "entry level" Pinot is a spicy treat. With the chalky soils in the area, Becker produces some of Germany's finest Pinot Noir. Full of spicy strawberry and bright cherry fruit, just a hint of tobacco and a dusty earthiness and layers of subtle textures tell you that you paid way too little for this offering. Delicious on its own, but also compliments heavier seafood, poultry and fine cuts of beef or game.

Ernesto Catena Padrillo Malbec, Mendoza $16.99

Most of the grapes, and in the case of Siesta all of the grapes, come from Ernesto’s Vistaflores vineyard, located in the heart of Vistaflores (in the Uco Valley in Mendoza) at 3576 feet above sea level. The property is 178 acres in total, with 116 acres under vine, planted mainly with Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Cabernet Franc. The vineyard was certified organic in 2011 by Letis, a company based in Argentina with full IFOAM accreditation. They are also in the process of gaining Demeter biodynamic certification, which will be complete in 2012.

Andrew Will Cabernet Franc $34.99

100% Cabernet Franc from our own Two Blondes Vineyard. This fresh, medium bodied wine with ageing capabilities is extraordinarily good as well as being a very good value. An often overlooked varietal that is used more often for blending, Cabernet Franc is well suited to planting at the relatively cool Two Blondes Vineyard.
