The Wines!!

White Knight Viognier $14.99

An exceptional alternative to Chardonnay with the weight and length to satisfy ably.
Delightful aromas of apple, nectarine and lime zest are highlighted by sweet honeysuckle notes. The palate is full of peach and tropical fruit flavors, which smoothly transition into a soft, expressive and juicy finish.

Force of Nature Pinot Gris $24.99

Delicate yet flavorful, this Pinot Gris has a light golden color and a complex, fruit-scented nose that reveals layers of mango, jasmine tea, cinnamon, and cantaloupe. Smooth, smokey toasted walnut and honey balance the fruits, and give way to a crisp, lingering finish full of freshly cut grass and peaches. It should keep for 2-3 years.

Sass Pinot Noir "Christi's Cuvee'" $32.99

The nose of the Sass had a noticeable sharpness, a slight mintyquality (in a good way), and a subtle sweet anise. The flavor of the wine contrasts a vanilla caramel sweetness against a more acidic, somewhat astringent, cranberry, resulting in an interesting tasty wine. In some tastes, the acid and cranberry seemed more prominent, then in the next taste I would get stronger toasted caramel notes. Strawberry and cherry comes through as well.

Pennywise Petit Sirah $14.99

This vintage shows textbook Petite Sirah color with an inky purple hue. The aromatics show notes of intense blueberry, dark cherry reduction, violets, and vanilla bean. Once again, the flavors start sweet and then get darker on the finish. This blend starts with blueberry pie, blackberry, sweet purple basil, and dark caramel. The wine finishes with dark molasses, toasted cedar plank, sweetened dried cherries, and mocha coffee.

This is a great grilling wine. Serve with burgers topped with carmelized onions and BBQ sauce, sticky ribs, or grilled chicken alongside sweet potato fries and coleslaw.

Peter Franus Zinfandel $29.99

"Attractive medium ruby in color, our 2012 Napa Zin offers warm, inviting notes of baking spices—clove, cinnamon, allspice—with black cherry, and hints of vanilla. A soft entry of berry and black pepper firms up with appropriate acidity and tannin to deliver an elegant, restrained version of Zinfandel—our hallmark. Seamless and pure are words in my wine description vocabulary that I don’t use on a regular basis. With this wine I do. As you have heard me say many times, “delicious” is a goal I strive for. I am confident this hits the target." Peter Franus
