While there is no charge for this limited seating, we hope that you will enjoy the wines sufficiently to wish to have them in your wine cabinet!
More importantly, we hope that this short experience with very good wine will make you a lifelong wine lover and a loyal patron of The Wine Cabinet!

We begin promptly at 7:00pm.

The Wines!!

BORSAO BLANCO 2013

A surprisingly layered version of an otherwise relatively neutral grape, Macabeo, the Borsao Blanco is loaded with citrus, along with green apples and pears. The wine is gentle, not powerful or complex, but is refreshing in the mouth and on the finish.

BORSAO GARNACHA MONTE OTON 2013

The wine shows bright and full Garnacha notes of ripe black fruits, as well as raisins, blueberries, and plums, and it's even showing some overripeness. The mouth and finish are warm and relatively gentle. Drink now or in the next several years.

PASO A PASO VERDEJO 2013

This is a riper version of Verdejo than most, with few of the herbal notes that can arise from the Verdejo grape (or that reflect a healthy dose of Viura or Sauvignon Blanc). Lemons, pears, and dried mangos compete in the nose, while the mouth is more citrusy. The wine is friendly and gentle with some soft mineral notes at the end. Drink soon or in the next few years.

 PASO A PASO TEMPRANILLO 2012

Blueberries, black cherries, and plums join with sawdust and American oak notes in this wine; the middle and finish offer tannic, dusty earth characters. It’s not typical Tempranillo; it’s more a reflection of La Mancha and less characteristic of classic Tempranillo. Drink soon or in the next several years.

EGUREN PROTOCOLO Blanco 2014

Very brilliant yellow with greenish hues, clean. fresh fruit, banana, apple and peach. In mouth: shows fresh fruity, silky notes with bright acidity, followed by a fruity, strong finish.?

RIO MADRE RIOJA GRACIANO 2013 Graciano is a Rioja grape which adds so much to the Rioja blend: great color, good acidity, wonderful blue/purple fruited lively fruit. Rarely is it bottled as a single varietal wine, but on the rare occasion that it is, and it's affordable, it is worth checking out. Enjoy this delicious, bright, blue fruited, slightly spicy wine with anything from steak frites to roasted chicken, or simply with a light dinner.

TARIMA MONASTRELL 2012

Red raspberries, cooked cherries, and mulberries show in this wine's expressive nose and mouth; the middle and finish also offer black plums and black raisins. Spices, herbs, and chocolate mark the finish as well. Drink soon or in the next several years.
