The Wines!!

"J" Pinot Gris $17.99

We are proud of our success growing Pinot Gris in California. At J, our version is crisp, with bright fruit and a kiss of minerality. And, as always, quality begins in the vineyard.

Our many Russian River Valley estate vineyards provide us with fruit that comes from well-drained soils rich in nutrients. Scott Zapotocky, Director of Vineyard Operations, works with each vineyard site to ensure that the soil type, vine canopy selection, natural pest management, and timing for the harvest pick are all aligned with our winemaker’s vision for handcrafting balanced Pinot Gris. Not a small accomplishment given the grape’s complexity.

Pinot Gris, a natural genetic cousin of Pinot Noir, is a grape of French origin. It gained its name from the color of its skin: bluish gray. When ripe, the cluster almost looks like a red varietal but it’s fermented in the white wine fashion.

Similar to our sparkling wines, we whole-cluster press the Pinot Gris grapes utilizing the Coquard press to minimize harsh components from the grape skins mingling with the juice. The wine is fermented and cooled slowly in stainless steel tanks at 55 degrees to preserve the fruit’s integrity. No malolactic fermentation occurs during this process. After fermentation, aging in the stainless steel tanks begins for several months prior to bottling.

Gary Farrell Chardonnay $37.99

Complex and surprising aromas fill the glass, offering up notes of stone fruit, Gravenstein apple, honeysuckle, jasmine, and kaffir lime leaf. Flavors of lemon, butterscotch and honey emerge on the palate followed by hints of almond and baking spices. Seamless on the palate, the creamy texture is underlined with a backbone of juicy acidity, delivering a beautiful wine with lovely intensity and persistence.

Gary Farrell Pinot Noir $49.99

This wine exudes enticing aromas of fresh strawberries, wild cherry preserves, cinnamon and nutmeg, which give way to an intriguing combination of oyster mushrooms, cola, cedar and an elderberry reduction glaze. With bright acidity and decadent fruit, this focused and elegant wine is enveloped by caressing soft-grained tannins and displays a pleasant, lingering finish.

Angels and Cowboys Red Blend $24.99

Seduction in a glass. Richly concentrated, juicy and dense with woodland berries, ripe
dark cherry, bergamot and fig, handsomely accentuated by nuances of warm spice and molten dark chocolate. Supple
and beautifully complex with stunning depth creating perfect harmony between both texture and flavor all the while
offering a lengthy, generous, decadent finish.
FOOD PAIRING Duck confit, Asian BBQ, skirt steak, hamburgers, grilled vegetables, charcuterie, harder cheeses
like cheddar and gouda, hearty pizzas and rich pastas.
