The Wines!!

Gaudio Verdelho 2014
"A wonderful wine produced with 100% of the Verdelho grape variety. A variety that was very important in the southern region of Portugal many decades ago, until it was decimated by phylloxera plague. The grape is back today and is particularly well adapted to the southern Portuguese climate and Moinho Branco terroir. It reveals hints of tropical fruit, spices and mineral notes in the nose. In the mouth it is full, fresh and has a long finish."

Esporao Reserva Branco 2013

This stunning blend of Antão Vaz, Arinto, Roupeiro, and Semillon is aged in a combination of stainless steel tanks and new French and American oak for 6 months.  The resulting wine drinks like a cross between a white burgundy and a California chardonnay, mouthwatering and focused with more tropical ripe fruit from the Alentejo sun than any Burgundy vigneron could dream of.
"Rich and complex aromas with fruity notes of peach and tangerine and subtle barrel toast.  Creamy, well balanced palate, good depth of ripe fruit but with elegance and minerality, finishes long and fresh."  Winery Notes

Real Companhia Velha "Porca de Murca"

#39 in Wine Spectator's Top 100 of 2015!

90 Wine Spectator - "A taut and sinewy style, with notes of slate and white pepper to the roasted plum and dried red berry flavors. Medium-grained tannins emerge on the snappy finish. Drink now through 2020." - WS

A blend of Touriga Francesa, Tinta Roriz and Barroca, aged in stainless steel.

Real Companhia Velha is the oldest and most emblematic wine company in Portugal, having celebrated this year 258 years of existence and uninterrupted activity in the service of Port Wine. Since the founding on the 10th of September in 1756 by Royal Charter of D. José I, King of Portugal, the importance of this Ex-Majestic Company was reflected by the valuable services to the community. Porca de Murça is Douro's leading brand, as well as one of the oldest, having celebrated 85 years of existence in 2013. The name originated from a folktale from the small village of Vila de Murça, in the Douro Valley.

La Conreria D'Scala Dei "Nona" Petit Priorat 2012
75% Grenache, 10% Carignan, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah

From two vineyards in the Vilella Alta of Spain's Priorat region.   Aged 10 months in French Allier oak.  Cherry color with purple shades, an intense bouquet of strawberries and red currant.  Slightly spicy with some toast and smoky hints, full bodied and fresh with ripe tannins and a sweetly herbal finish.

Quinta Vale D. Maria Reserva Port Lote N.º 11
100% produced with Port Wine from 2011, a landmark declared Vintage year for Port Wine. This single Quinta Port shows a great structure with intense fruit character and soft ripe tannins. It is specifically blended to age in bottle for many years to come but it can be thoroughly enjoyed now.
