2014 Margerum “Sybarite” Sauvignon Blanc, Happy Canyon of Santa Barbara, California $19.99

                  -This wine is crafted from a blend of Sauvignon Blanc grapes grown on the rolling hills of the Happy Canyon of Santa Barbara AVA at McGinley Vineyard, Grassini Vineyard, Star Lane Vineyard and Happy Canyon Vineyard. Aged completely in steel tanks, this Sauvignon Blanc has a light golden hue and aromas of Lemon Meringue and Magnolia Flower. The mouthfeel is rich with hints of Pear, Grapefruit and Passionfruit. 

2013 Slo Down Wines “Broken Dreams” Chardonnay, California $20.99

                  -From the guys who brought you “Sexual Chocolate” comes a Chardonnay that is quite different from the rest. The fruit comes from some of the top vineyards in Sonoma and Napa. After the grapes have been pressed the juice is aged in partially neutral French oak. The bouquet has hints of Pear and Stone fruit while the palate experiences bright acidity and tropical fruits. This is a wine that is lush, vibrant and pairs well with summer concerts at Wolf Trap.    

2013 Slo Down Wines “Sexual Chocolate” Syrah, Petite Sirah & Zinfandel, California $25.99

                  -Winemaker Brandon Allen has managed to liquefy fun and bottle it with “Sexual Chocolate”. This blend of Syrah, Petite Sirah and Zinfandel is perfect with everything from pizza to pasta to barbeque. The nose is bursting with red and black fruit while the palate evolves from cherries to cola to dark chocolate. The finish is long and leaves the drinker with a mild spice. This is a definite crowd pleaser that everyone (of legal drinking age) will enjoy.  

2014 Misfit Wine Co. “Buff Cycle Beauty” Shiraz/Malbec,  South Australia $15.99

                  -An unusual blend of 90% Shiraz and 10% Malbec that truly delivers. This four vineyard blend has dark red color with aromas of blueberry, boysenberry and woodsmoke, with a subtle floral note in the background. Offers intense cherry, blue fruit liqueur and spicecake flavors that become sweeter as the wine opens in the glass, picking up a peppery nuance along the way. Shows very good depth and a hint of jamminess on the long, supple finish, which is framed by smooth, fully absorbed tannins.

2013 La Fenetre “Lady of the Mandrake” Cabernet Sauvignon,  Paso Robles, California $21.99

                  -This 100% Cabernet Sauvignon comes from a single vineyard in the heart of Paso Robles. It was aged in a combination of French and American oak for twelve months. The wine was then bottled and aged for an additional twelve months in the cellars of La Fenetre winery. Aromas of Black Cherry, Sandalwood and Cassis emanate from the glass. The palate is rich with notes of plum, cigar box and cocoa powder. A hint of clove may be detected on the finish.
