The Wines!!

Aria, Brut Segura, Viudas $13.99

The Parellada grapes are grown in a location where they mature slowly over a long period, ideal for resonant cavas. The complexities of our own indigenous yeast strains provide a unique character to these wines, as they ferment at a lower temperature to bring out the full aroma and complexit, and to highlight the Parellada grape. This philosophy has given us one of the most elegant cavas in our collection. ARIA Estate Brut is dry, lively and refreshing, appropriate for any occasion. Its flavor is dominated by fresh pineapple, almonds, honey and straw with hints of fresh bread.

Torres Verdeo Verdelho $13.99

The greenest freshness. Characterised by its freshness, by pronounced notes of tropical fruit and its elegance.

Young, contemporary and fresh. That's this 100% Verdejo wine, of an attractive pale yellow colour with green tinges.

Torres Celeste Blue, Tempranillo $24.99

A star in Ribera del Duero

Celeste is an opulent wine brimming with fruit, body and colour: as unique as the night sky in the Ribera del Duero.

At 895 metres altitude you can almost touch the stars and shape the clouds. The dusk air is intense with fragrance. And the sun lights up the land in all its splendour. Here, at a height of 895 metres, Celeste is born, the Torres family’s first Ribera del Duero.

Jean Leon 3055 Red Blend $15.99

an aromatic, elegant, seductive, velvety and contemporary wine made from Merlot and Petit Verdot grown in our vineyards. Very intense nose and a medium-bodied, balanced palate with pronounced notes of red fruit and spices. A long, lingering finish.

The soft tannins make it versatile enough to bring out the flavors of fish recipes (such as cod and pisto, a classic Spanish tomato-vegetable mix) as well as meat (Iberian pork sirloin).

Varieties: Merlot and Petit Verdot.
4 months partial oak-aging.

Marques de Murrieta Riserva 2010 $29.99

James Suckling (Usa): 94 points. “Fabulous aromas of crushed berry and dark fruits with walnuts, hazelnuts, and ginger. Cinnamon and honey melon too. Full-bodied, very tight and firm. Linear backbone of fruit and tannins. Very long and racy. 22 months in American oak (six months new and then racked into used). Beautiful now but needs another two or three years to soften. A triumph.”

Wine Advocate – Parker (Usa): 93 points. There is gob-smacking precision and elegance here. It’s a pure wine with no oak that is super harmonious, floral and fragrant. I simply fell in love with the nose. Now onto the palate. The entry is really fluid, and then it explodes in your mouth, filling it along a thread of fine acidity making it long and tasty. It has the same astonishing purity and harmony, focus and precision found in the nose. This has to be the best Reserva from Murrieta in recent times. Bravo! One million bottles produced, but all the wine is one single lot and all the bottles you can find are exactly the same just they are bottled continuously for four months. Mind boggling quality for the price asked.– Luis Gutierrez

Guía Peñín (Spain): 92 points.

Wine Spectator (Usa): 90 points. Spicy aromas lead to flavors of vanilla, cherry, fresh herb and mineral in this expressive red. Though oaky notes are prominent, there’s a core of focused fruit, and the light structure is fresh and balanced. Graceful and alluring. Drink now through 2021. 5,750 cases imported.—T.M.
