The Wines!!

Reserve Chardonnay, Arroyo Seco, CA – Lot 123 $13.99

Tropical aromas of citrus and pineapple dominate, underneath which you’ll discover more subtle scents of vanilla and baking spices. It has a creamy, full-bodied texture, but enough tanginess to make your mouth water for another sip.  Try it with grilled corn on the cob and chili lime butter, or crispy fried chicken.

Earthshaker “ROSÉ DE PINOT NOIR” COTEAUX DU GIENNOIS, LOIRE VALLEY, FRANCE 2015 $14.99
100% Pinot Noir

The Pinot Noir berries are hand harvested and brought to the winery where they are sorted and lightly pressed to release the rosy juice. The wine undergoes a traditional, low temperature fermentation using champagne yeasts. The wine then rests on the fine lees before bottling in mid-March.
Pale pink in color with subtle aromas of fresh strawberries and a touch of minerality and wildflowers. The wine’s flavors are pristine offering a racy acidity that cuts across an array of flavors from fruity to earthy to floral. The finish is mouth-wateringly immaculate.

Pinot Noir, Central Coast, CA – Lot 117 $14.99

To make this wine Pinot Noir was picked from vineyards in coastal vineyards in Monterey and Edna Valley. After careful picking and sorting the wine was fermented in stainless steel.  A third of the wine was aged in French oak for 9 months.

Ruby red in color with playful black cherry and berry aromas on top of which float savory notes of clove and camphor. This wine is like a smart, faithful friend …. an upbeat intellectual capable of consoling or carousing.

Earthshaker “POMP + POWER” SYRAH $15.99
KNIGHTS VALLEY, SONOMA COUNTY, CA 2014
100% Syrah

The Syrah bunches are hand harvested and sorted prior to crush. The fruit then undergoes a seven-day cold maceration prior to fermentation. During fermentation there is a daily delestage, meaning the liquid is drained off the skins and then returned to the tank. This increases color and helps evenly distribute textures and flavors. Some seeds are strained out of the must during fermentation to soften tannins. Post-fermentation the wine is kept for one year in French oak barrels, 65% of which are new and 35% are in their second year.
Radiant purple in color with core aromas of ripe blackberries and plums over which pour
out more exotic flavors of cassis, anise, vanilla and cinnamon. The wine’s lavish aroma is kept in check by the silky restraint of its texture. Few wines exhibit such a pleasant contrast in intensity between its smell and first sip. It is elegantly balanced combining a gentle freshness with just enough richness of fruit and tannins. This wine will change your impression of Syrah.

Earthshaker “L'AMIS” BARBARESCO $20.99
D.O.C.G. 2012

Hand harvested from hillside vineyards in the communes of Barbaresco and Neive. In the commune of Barbaresco, the vineyards are planted on southwestern facing slopes of marl and limestone spliced through by a rich vein of clay. Here, the deeper soil gives the wine muscles, depth, and texture. Vineyards within the township of Neive are composed of white clay marl and limestone with a bit of sand. These thinner, more loosely composed soils bring elegance and finesse to the wine.
Grape bunches are hand harvested and hand selected before a soft crushing. Selected yeasts are introduced to the must, and the wine ferments for two to three weeks in stainless steel. The finished wines are blended and aged  between 16-24 months in Slavonian oak.
The wine has an intense garnet color with orange highlights. Its aroma is a dense core of blackberry and cherry fruit with overtones of withered rose petals and spices. These flavors persist after your first sip, the freshness of fruit melting into a floral and savory finish. It has a lofty elegance while maintaining its approachability, making it a wine you can have fun with now, or cellar away for years to come.
