The Menu!!!

Passed Hors d'ouvres:
Beef Empanadas
Roasted Pepper & Pesto Bruschetta
Sesame Shrimp Tempura, Dynamite Sauce

Steindorfer Passion Rose'
Blend of 40% Blaufränkisch, 30% St. Laurent and 30% Zweigelt. The bouquet is a lovely mix of fresh red berries and beautiful floral notes. It is round, soft, crispy and has never ending rich strawberries on the palate. Ideal for a great aperitif wine.

First Course:

Seafood Gumbo

Wines - Tegernseerhof Zwerithaler Blanc
This single vineyard from Weissenkirchen in the Wachau has very old vines and it is a field blend which is called “Gemischter Statz“ in Austria. Here is how Martin Mittelbach describes the wine: “Through the picturesque extravagance of “Zwerithaler” this cru developed into ascetic museum - old varieties, crumbling walls - the time seems to have stood still. To bring the flavor potential of these two positions accurately and significantly expressed, we put the varietal character in the background.” This is a full-bodied dry white wine with a rich creamy texture similar to some to the great White Burgundies with a long beautiful finish.
 and

Pinot Blanc
Leithaberg is the last Hill of the Apls and a DAC when red it is all Blaufränkisch. This wine is dark ruby red with a black core. Ripe cherry, blackberry, graphite, licorice, and spicy notes. Fresh cherry-fruits on the plate, tight structure, but soft. A wine with elegant tannin, good acidity, dark berries and good spice on the long smooth finish. This wine matches more than perfectly to grilled steaks, lamb, venison and also with Salmon.

Main Course:

Wood-Grilled Salmon, Lemon Beurre Blanc or Thai Curry Sauce, Asparagus

Wines - Hillinger Leithaberg Blaufrankisch
„Terroir“ stands for Leithaberg – produced from 40-year old vines and this wine reflects all that! Straw yellow in color, it shows the mineral content and salinity of the lime and slate soil. Aromas of peach, nuts and smoke. Juicy with a good complexity and firm texture, white fruit nuances, and fresh, while maintaining its structure. A wine that grabs your attention through its elegant yet distinctive minerality and pleasantly long palate. Great aging potential.

and
Wachau Pinot Noir
n 2010 Martin Mittlebach picked his first Pinot Noir trial. The vineyard is called Hinterseiber,  just above Steinriegel, which is situated in Weissenkirchen – it has a quite high altitude of 400 meter, is a hillside with calcareous soil. The 2012 harvest  gave him ripe and healthy grapes which are harvested by hand and crush very carefully. The must fermentation takes place in open boxes. He aged the wine for almost 1 year “sur lie” in new and used oak barrels, after 1 year the Pinot Noir is transferred in stainless steel tanks for clearing and harmonizing. This wonderful Pinot Noir reflects exactly the style of the Wachau – straight, mineral and crystal clear.

The Wine Enthusiast  92pts, Falstaff  92pts.

Dessert:

Chocolate Mousse Bombe

Anton Bauer Eiswine
Ice-wine is produced from grapes harvested and pressed while still frozen. The watery content of the grape will remain in the press as ice. The concentrated sugary grape juice flows out as “liquid gold”!!
