The Vineyard!!

“I would like to introduce you here the past and the present of our company, to underline
the deep bond that ties us to this land and that, together with the love for viticulture
and the passion for our work, has allowed us to produce these great wines.”

Nicola, Silvia & Anna Dal Maso

Our history starts at the end of the 19th century with great-grandfather Serafino Dal Maso in the wonderful hills of Selva di Montebello near Vicenza, in the heart of the Gambellara DOC region. This is where our family and company have always had their roots.

At the end of the 1960s, our father Luigino Dal Maso made the great U-turn by following, or rather anticipating, wine market trends in the 1980s and 1990s. Indeed, he began to make an important series of investments, the acquisition of new properties in the most suitable areas in Gambellara and particularly in the Colli Berici area south west of Vicenza. He also began exporting to a number of foreign markets.

Today we, his children Nicola, Silvia and Anna, run the business with the same passion and commitment, and by constantly believing in the great potential of these lands and their grapes.

Our company has the very latest technology and organised, modern premises for vinification and ageing. This is how we achieve the high quality levels found in every Dal Maso wine and we welcome enthusiasts as well as expert wine tourists who visit our company.

The Wines!!

Dal Maso Sauvignon Blanc 2014: $15.99

Sauvignon Blanc is a historically important grape in this part of the Veneto; it was brought here over 200  years ago from France.  This is a very classic Sauvginon Blanc with notes of lime and grass.

Dal Maso Gambellara Ca' Fischele 2015: $14.99

Gambellara is a small DOC of the Veneto that is similar to Soave but has to made 100% from the grape Garganega.  Dal Maso's in concentrated and elegant and a benchmark for the region.

Dal Mas Tai Rosso (made like a rose) 2015: $12.99

Tai Rosso is a red grape that is similar to Grenache and in the Veneto it can be made as a rose or a red wine.  This is close to a rose but very dark.  It is dry but rich with dark cherry flavors and nice acidity.  Good to serve chilled while grilling meats or closer to room temperature (but still cool) during colder weather.

Dal Maso Cabernet Montebelvedere 2013: $20.99:

This Cabernet is from a single estate called Montebelvedere that is separate from Dal Maso's Gambellara Vineyards.  The aging includes only very judicious amounts of oak and the wine has much in common with red Bordeaux, with notes of tar and cedar and nice Cabernet fruit.

Dal Maso Cabernet Casara Roveri 2012: $29.99

Casara Roveri is Dal Maso's top Cabernet.  It is a single vineyard which also includes some Cabernet Franc and Carmenere (both which can be labeled "Cabernet" in the Veneto).  The wine is nicely developed and ready to drink
