DOGFISH HEAD OLD SCHOOL BARLEYWINE

"Very clear orange ruby color. Very small ring of off white lacing on the outside. Very beautiful color. Aroma is (first and foremost) boozy, toffee, figs, dates, many sweet dark fruits, lots of candied sugar, and just a spot of citrus hops in the background to brighten this one up. Pretty much what you’d expect from a DFH high abv barleywine. Flavor is boozy. Lots of alcohol, lots and lots of heat from that, toffee, vanilla, figs, again candied sugar. But so boozy. It’s excellent but I think this one needs a few years on it."
