Red cherry and blueberry scented bouquet. Medium-bodied with sweet red and black fruit on the entry. A pastille-like purity here, nicely balanced with a smooth and seductive finish.

Very pure, with a lovely, racy beam of raspberry and red currant coulis flavors, stitched with floral accents. Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Score Range: 89-92

What can be thought of as the entry-level Cuvée from Teyssier, the 2018 Château Teyssier is a sleeper in the vintage, offering a great perfume of blueberries, wildflowers, candied orange, and Asian spices, with a touch of chalky minerality on the finish. Rich, medium to full-bodied, and beautifully textured on the palate, it's a gorgeous, already impossible to resist Saint-Emilion to enjoy over the coming decade. It's the finest vintage I've tasted for this release.

The 2018 Teyssier is plump, juicy and absolutely delicious. Chocolate, espresso, licorice, sweet spice and dark plum fruit are amped up in this generous, lush Saint-Emilion. Juicy and radiant, with silky tannins. Sweet floral and savory notes add an attractive upper register. Teyssier is a gorgeous, reasonably priced wine that captures the natural intensity of the year.

Big and rich, this balanced and accessible wine is generous both with its black fruits and smooth texture. The density and core of tannins do not detract from the full, fruity character. The wine will develop quickly. Drink from 2023.

The 2018 Teyssier is composed of 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc, with a 3.53 pH and 14.8% alcohol. Medium to deep garnet-purple in color, it comes skipping out of the glass with bright, open, carefree scents of stewed red and black plums, Morello cherries and fruitcake, plus hints of Chinese five spice, bay leaves and dusty soil. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is coated with spicy red and black fruits, supported by chewy tannins and just enough freshness, finishing with an herbal lift.
