The 2021 Valpolicella Superiore Ripasso opens in the glass with a burst of violet florals and savory spices accentuating peppery wild berry fruits. This is round and soothing, with cooling acidity and ripe red and blue fruits that swirl throughout. It finishes with a lasting concentration yet only gently tannic, leaving a tinge of licorice to linger.
