Sleek and focused, with a lovely sanguine note pulling you in from the start, with light savory, mineral, red tea and red currant coulis accents keeping you coming back for more. Gains range on the finish from a light dusting of sandalwood and potpourri. Lovely.

Leading off the reds, the 2019 Pinot Noir Santa Maria Valley is a smoking good appellation Pinot Noir well worth seeking out. Ripe red and blackberry fruits, peppery herbs, flowers, and sous bois all show on the nose, and it's nicely textured, fruit-forward, and ready to go. It's going to put a smile on your face any time over the coming 3-5 years.

Tart pomegranate, riper cherry, mace and sage aromas pull the nose into this appellation cuvée. Rose petal enlivens the palate, where the brisk red fruit and peppery spice flavors soar.

The 2019 Pinot Noir (Santa Maria Valley) is a soft, fruity wine that offers plenty of immediacy and appeal. The 2019 is not super complex, but it is hugely delicious and ready to go. Bright red/purplish fruit, spice and hard candy are nicely pushed forward in this tasty Pinot from Foxen. Vineyard sites are Bien Nacido and Riverbench
