Winemaker Notes: Clear and attractive notes of peach, fresh fruit and straw. In the mouth it is dry, pure and fresh with ripe peach and papaya, basil notes and nuances of ocean air. Delicious acidity and layered textures lead to a long evolving finish. Pair with oysters, seafood, chicken and pasta or all by itself.
The grapes for this wine all come from our family-owned estate vineyards in Marlborough’s Lower Dashwood and Lower Waihopai sub-regions. 2023 gifted us a stellar growing season that yielded a bountiful harvest in perfect condition.

Vinous

This is not your average 2023 Sauvignon Blanc. It's aromatically intriguing, with different layers appearing with every sniff. Initially, there are notes of medicinal herbs, followed by blackcurrant, green capsicum, passion fruit and even lime. Perhaps the diversity of scents could be attributed to the combination of fermentations across tanks, oak barrels, concrete eggs and amphorae. The palate is focused on texture: there's reassuring padding on the mid-palate despite being light in body, while there's drive and punch on the dry, herbal finish.
