Corte Cariano displays a deep ruby red color and scents of berry fruits such as blackberries and redcurrants as well as cherries; these notes combine with well-integrated spicy hints deriving from its maturation in wood. Its fruit is soft and rounded on the palate, and balanced by attractive, velvety tannins. Its finish is long and extremely satisfying, without being overly intense: it merely invites one to take another delicious sip. Corte Cariano is ideal with pasta and soups, fresh pasta with meat sauces and richly flavored red meat dishes.

The 2019 Monovitigno Corte Cariano is a varietal Corvina that shows a mix of violet flowers, lavender and crushed stone that really pulls you in and captivates. This is so fresh, adding blackberries and currants with time in the glass. It's juicy yet a bit thin, with focused red and black wild berry fruits and grippy tannins that mount toward the close. Rosy inner florals and lavender arch across the senses, as this finishes grippy, mineral-tinged and with medium length. The 2019 is very poised, yet also pleasing.
