Medium crimson garnet with ochre reflections at the broad rim. Inviting red wild berry compote, floral nuances, notes of violets and raspberries. Juicy, medium-bodied, red berry fruit, silky texture, fine fruit sweetness, delicate strawberry finish; an elegant food companion.
Falstaff

A very fresh style of gruner veltliner with crisp pear, lemon balm and chamomile aromas, plus very lively acidity for this grape on the medium-bodied palate. Long, crisp finish with stacks of lemon zest freshness. Sustainable. Drink now. Screw cap.

The 2021 Pinot Noir Krautergarten was grown on stony soils of calcareous alluvium with a high active lime content and chernozem topsoil. The fruit was destemmed and crushed. Following cold maceration, the wine was fermented spontaneously with a third of whole berries and aged in barrel, of which a third was new. A sense of oaky toastiness on the nose blends in with red cherry. The palate is precise with freshness and fine, bright concentration on a light, translucent and silky body showing pure, aromatic red fruit.
