The 2020 Gran Corte Numina is 69% Malbec, 14% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Cabernet Franc, 6% Merlot and 4% Petit Verdot from Los Arboles and San Pablo in the Uco Valley and was aged for 16 months in 10% new French oak barrels. Dark garnet-red in hue. The balsamic nose presents camphor, thyme, menthol and mountain herbs over a layer of dark fruit jam. Indulgent and creamy on the palate, the broad, expansive mouthfeel delivers lingering balsamic flavors. This oily, languorous red ends with a whiff of caramel.

Boldly aromatic, offering dried violet, plum and cassis notes. Rather refined on the palate, this shows tobacco and mineral accents to the ripe blackberry core, with notes of cocoa bean and espresso that fill out the broad finish. Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Drink now through 2034. 30,000 cases made, 150 cases imported.
