Dark ruby to the eye, this wine has a nose of cassis, cocoa powder and a hint of leather. There is a nice sense of earthiness underlying ripe cherry, cranberry, roasted red pepper, milk chocolate and slivered ginger flavors that are set into plush tannins, which linger on the tongue and gums. — Mike DeSimone
