DALAMARA NAOUSSA RED 750ML 2023

A brilliant Greek red that is made in a natural and traditional way. The grape is Xinomavro - indigenous to the Macedonia region in Greece and perfected in Naoussa. It is often compared to Barolo and this wine really shows you why! Beautifully perfumed aromas of red berries and roses in bloom are met with savoury flavours of tomato leaf and black olive, as well as bags of juicy red fruits and spiced notes on the finish. It is pale in colour - just like Nebbiolo - but like its Italian counterpart it has lots of well-integrated tannins and a high acidity to create a wonderfully structured mouthfeel. Pair with moussaka, olives, lamb, stews, casseroles, and grilled vegetables.
